Hi everybody! I hope you're enjoying this beautiful weather! I just wanted to let you know that it has been Week 1 after setting up my BioCube 32 using aragonite substrate and live rock. I have been adding the stability every day and just had the water tested yesterday and it's showing no signs of ammonia or nitrates or nitrites. The lfs associate said give it another week to see if there are any rise in ammonia. Is this correct? Or should I add something else?

Add a pinch of fish food. Stability is a bacteria, but need a source of ammonia. (otherwise, where would ammonia/nitrite/nitrate come from? bacteria can't create it, it has to come from somewhere). Then you should start to see some readings on your test.

Yes, I understand the nitrogen cycle but I just get confused with all the conflicting information!

Thank you so much! This is kind of nerve-wracking but I know of the ultimate results 6 months from now will be amazing!

add that pinch of fish flakes and wait 2-3 days. if levels are the same i would say your cycle is complete!
Thank you so much! I will try that and then test again! Can't wait till I can add some creatures!
