UPDATE: orange tunicates

These tunicates turned out to be Star tunicates, which is pretty cool.
If you don’t know about them, they are a cold water species and are colonial, sorta like chain tunicates.

In response to your question on your other thread - the only thing to really know is that sometimes colonial tunicates like this become invasive to the point where they can literally grow over and smother other organisms in the tank, so I generally suggest they be kept somewhere you can easily contain their spread.

Neat critters, though, and quite pretty too.

Noted- though they only seem to enjoy growing on the back of my filter and on my power head, so I guess I’m lucky they aren’t trying to invade
