Haven't posted any pics since I initially set up the tank back in Oct......trying to slowly fill in the rock with Coral as finances (and the wife) will allow :-)

Thanks everybody......still have a long way to go but it definately looks better than it did 6 months ago. I am trying to find and fill with coral that thrive in my system. I have had a couple that didn't make it (flowerpot coral for one).

Can anybody give me an ID on the green coral? The LFS told me when I bought it (said it was similiar to an open brain but had a different name) but I cannot remember what they said it was.

Thanks for all of the positive comments.

Evolved - I did try putting it in the sand initially but it never seemed to fully open. As soon as I put it where it is, it almost doubled in size. Not sure if the small hermits were walking over it or if something else was not to its' liking. Is it supposed to be on the sand due to the delicate flesh possibly getting torn on the rock?

Correct; and that's where you'll typically find them in the ocean.
The cone shape of the skeleton is to anchor them in the sand.

That is what I figured.....it is hard to tell from the picture but, because of that, I mounted it with coral putty "elevated" away from the rocks. When it is fully inflated, it only touches the rock in one spot. That may (and probably will) change when it gets bigger though.

I think the flow has more to do with it than sand. If there's a lot of flow on them, they can tear there flesh on them selfs alone. But if put in a area with low flow will intend to do just fine.
Just from my experiences and what I have witnessed

New Pics (fish and coral) added

Got some new additions.....figured I would just add them to my existing thread.
