You are right they sure do get lost sometimes. The macro actually keeps them from blowing back behind the rocks when they do fall, though, I've noticed. Another good reason to grow it, besides LFS credit!!

I hate macro......ERRRRRR! It has grown into my zoas and I have to pull it out and mess with them weekly.

lovely tank jessies, i do like the sprinkling of diff colour zoa;s here and there,
hope to create similar myself but i live in UK so know it will take a few yrs lol (UK home of all the drab zoa's)

There's like 9 or so different kinds of macro in there. Some came as hitchhikers (a red branchy macro, and a green razorish looking macro- not razor caulerpa, but reminescent) and some I bought on purpose because I thought they were pretty (halimeda,codium fragile, sea lettuce, 2 kinds of caulerpa). It helps me be able to overfeed when I feel like it, or when the kids get to feed the tank. Amazing how it grows. My tang and my lawnmower blenny are both so fat it's kind of embarassing, but they are good guys that try hard... I also think having so much macro inhibits the cyano/valonia/hair algaes a bit through competition.

Was reading another saltwater book and changed the aquascaping to three mountains. I think I like it better- I actually found I had MORE space for frags without losing any of the rock.

I think the fish like it better also- they haven't been near so timid. My Betta (Comet) has been coming out more, which makes me really happy...

I like it. I typically build little bummies and leave a little space around the sides. Gives the fish a more natural feel. Nice .

I've seen some cool stuff in nature, but most of it is difficult to imitate without tons of PVC framing.

Wow you have a really nice tank. I really like the way you set up the rocks, with all the corals in there you really get the feeling you looking at a natural reef out in the ocean somewhere.
