Hello,

I have the IM 25g lagoon, it came with the filter socks(which I rinse every 3rd day). I also added phosguard and purigen in media bags. My nitrates spiked after a power outage and I have been unable to get them down doing water changes and relying on my current filtration. I am thinking about getting the filter floss holders along with a pair of mini max reactors. I would run GFO in one and bio pellets in the other. Does that seem like a good setup? What would you do different?

Sounds like a solid plan to me :)

What brand of gfo and biopellets would you suggest
I don't personally use gfo or biopellets, I utilize chaeto in a refugium. But Bulk Reef Supply sells gfo and biopellets that seem to have good reviews :)

I was looking at doing that with the i tank refugium, but I don’t think I’d have the volume to run chaeto effectively
