I currently have a 55 gal set up. Filtration is a fluval canister. Stock is currently light. We are renovating a building and making it a daycare so I have decided to rehome the tank there. It will be easier for me to keep everything in order and clean. I plan on doing a sump and overflow box. We are hoping to have the project finished by the end of june so that gives me time to learn about sumps and get my supplies. I have no idea though on how to construct a sump or overflow box or plumbing. I know there are articles and all but I like when people give me step by step directions. From what I seen sumps have 3 compartments correct? One for the skimmer, the fuge and then the return? Am I missing anything? I do not wanna drill the tank.

You said the magic words, I have no idea!
Do your self a favor, have someone else do it for you.
I went to a lot of shops, wanted a 200 gal. I couldn't believe how hard it was to get someone to deliver. I ended up traveling an hour away to Brooklyn. Pete, at the Brooklyn Zoo pet shop, he's in business 25 yrs. +. I knew what I wanted, he made a few suggestions, but he delivered, he set up everything, did all the plumbing, and filled the tank with sand and water. I fed him and his helper lunch. His price was reasonable, and professional. No one on Long Island wanted to deliver, some for no money.

That would be the easy way out. I wouldn't mind doing that but I do not know anyone around here into tanks. Also while I wouldn't mind having someone else doing it I also love doing things on my own and learning.
