Finally got tired of battling water issues. When I started out with a Fowlr tank I was using basic tap water. Didn’t go well obviously.
I then decided to setup an RO system in my kitchen. Not knowing that there was a difference between RO and RODI. I bought an under sink drinking water RO system “ whirlpool 15 gpd “ or something close to that. This system was a good quality upgrade from tap but definitely nothing like a reef quality 0tds rodi. Still had algae issues on occasion after running the RO more then say 50 gallons for changes and top off. The filters went to hell quick as they were not supposed to be used for large volumes of water, more for removing chlorine from a few glasses of water a day. That thing took 2 hrs at a min to fill a five gallon pale.
So here she is my shiny new RODI 4 stage system. Installing it tomorrow!! My corals should thank me!!
Picked it up at a local reef store . 179.99 air water and ice. I know I can get it online cheaper but I support local businesses.
Can’t wait to start flowing some good quality water for my fish and corals.
If anyone has any experience with this unit let me know how ya like it or if there were any issues you had with it .

One piece of advice. That's a great unit and works well, however, take the DI canister and see if you're able to mount it vertically so the product water is pushed up through the di resin and out the top. What happens is when it's laid horizontally the water slowly forms channel's over time as the di resin is depleted, and eventually water Is able to make It past without contacting the di resin that hasn't been depleted yet.

Well she’s up and running.
A note to anyone that buys a pre assembled unit. All my fittings leaked. Not the threaded portions but the pressure connectors. All the hoses were not pressed in firmly. After that mess and replacing my S trap under my sink simply because it needed it. I am now happily producing PURE water.

Crabs. I could not place it in the vertical position. I did prime the di canister in the vertical position before placing it back on the horizontal mount. I hope this will allow the water to flow fully through the rest of the can. I’m an electrician not a plumber lol.

If you take the canister and give it a good shake every once and a while that should help, that way if any channel's start to form, you shake it and stop them from forming.
