So I'm always looking to improve my reef (75 gallons) but I'm running out of ideas for thing to do. I already know what o want to do with my lights and just don't need to spend the money right now, I'm working on building a carbon reactor as a fun little project, I've got a refugium so I don't want to use any phosphate reactors on this tank or anything like that, my sump is small so I can't fit (not do I have the need and budget) for a carbon reactor. I've got a uv sterilizer for algea that I've only used a few times. I feel stuck beyond adding new corals etc.

What you can upgrade next really all depends on your goals for the tank, budget and livestock that you keep. Any more details you can provide on the system would help you get more suggestions. Also pics of your setup would definitely give people a launching point to provide suggestions.

I want to also stress that getting to a point where there is not a bunch of stuff to upgrade is a good thing. I love tinkering with the tank as much as anyone, but I have learned over the years that constantly changing something on the tank normally disrupts the stability that I am trying to create and I don't get the results I am hoping for. Being in a place to enjoy the tank and watch it fill in because you are happy with how things are set up is a very good place to be. Boring sometimes, but good none-the-less.

I suppose everything you said is true (much to my dismay lol) the only big things I can think of would be draining the tank, getting a new bigger stand, bigger sump actually drilling the tank etc putting it back together and having a nearly whole new system. But obviously that's more work than I'd like to do right now. The tank is less blue than it looks in the pics. I took them on my phone.

Tank looks good. I will say that I love having a sump. I know this is not a small project, but it adds water volume to the system, and it hides all the equipment. Also a great place to install an ATO, or incorporate a fuge.

But, I don't think any of that is necessary to be successful. You have something to be proud of already.

One great way to get ideas on what upgrades/changes you would like is to read a bunch of build threads in the members tanks section, especially those that have similarly sized systems as what you do. Seeing what others do can spark ideas for what may work really well on your system.

I've got a sump that's about 20 gallons with about 13 gal of water. Got that on there to use the skimmer compartment as a small refugium. And I've got a tunze osmolator nano ATO. Coronas got me spending all kinds of money improving this tank haha. Thanks for the build thread idea and the compliments! I don't know why I didn't think to look there first.

Whole new tank!!!
Don't worry whenever I end up moving on going to at least a 120 or larger. Already toying with the build ideas. Already know some major improvements I'll have on it now that I'm a few months into the hobby and have played with this 75 a bit!
