Hello I am wondering if it's worth upgrading my lighting. I have a 40 gal softie and lps reef.
My current lighting is jbj Orion Slim Line SL-140 watts. It has Color temperatures perfect for corals and other photosynthetic life:
- 485nm Blue/ 465nm Royal Blue Cree XT LEDS
- 410nm UV C35L LEDS
- 8000K Cool White Cree XT LEDs

The light I'm currently looking at is :

Maxspect Razor X 150w

Anyone have any experience with either of these lights? Pros, cons,

I'm not looking to do any sps

i do not have experience with any of those lights, but i've seen good reviews on the maxspect light. if your current lights work fine for what you want, i don't see the point in upgrading/changing unless you find growth or color to be lacking.

This is the leds with the maxspect razer. A few different color spectrums compared to the jbj fixture. Maxspect also gives off 10 more watts. 20 leds per cluster vs 16 with the jbj. The razer has 3 cluster the jbj has 4. My current jbj fixture is 6 years old not sure how long it will last?
