So I have had my reef running for about 1.25 years now and I'm noticing my SPS corals losing color after i acclimate them to my tank.
They are growing, not bleaching but the color is fading.
For example my purple stylo is a light pink now, was deep purple when I first got it.
Red monti plate is now pink. but has grown 2x or more. etc...
I don't know what to do to get my corals to pop like others I see.
I have chinese black box lights which I know arnt ideal but could they be contributing to lack/loss of color?
I have had some pH/Alk issues for the last few months with both being low.
I have fixed the AlK/pH problem but not really seen much of an improvement on color.
Will upgrading my lights to possibly AI Primes help with color?
Will dosing trace elements help color?
I am getting discouraged because things are growing but look BLAH.
