So I purchased a Waterbox Infinia peninsula and looking at delivery this coming week. I’ll be moving out of an IM lagoon into the new tank. The gallons are similar, just the peninsula will fit the space a bit better.
I do have a bit of a dilemma in my head though. My current aqua scape was fashioned out of dry rock and has been a royal pain in the butt. With things glued together it looks cool but has been a fight for 18 months, now fighting cyano and aptaisia. Aptasia being in hard to treat like under shelves and such. Also I sometimes like to rearrange things as stuff fills in or if flow issues arise. Moving 40 lb glued pieces are a pain and you can only do so much.
I have a friend on the coast that has some mature real live rock sitting in vats and I can cherry. Pick if I want to make the 4 hr round trip. All would be transported in bucket and water.
I’m considering breaking down the scape, keeping the pieces where corals are grown in on and replacing the rest of the rocks.
what would you do?
