I’m stuck between two minds,
1) I use my current 300litre tank that’s really starting to look good been established since last August. Coral growing fish look happy etc. And I use a hang on the back overflow box to get water to my sump.

2) Upgrade to a 650 litre tank with a weir (whatever that is) with holes drilled already that lead to the sump.

my question is if I upgrade how on Earth do I go about transferring my fish coral and rock work. If I go from 300 litres to nearly 800 litres won’t (so 500 litres of new salt water) won’t that affect my fish coral rocks ?
any help appreciated

I would go with option 2. I would search for tank transfers- some great hobbyists have written fantastic documents on how to do it with checklists. So long as you match the parameters of the new saltwater and are mindful of the elements of a sucsessful transfer, you'll enjoy the increased space and stability!
