I currently have my Aqua-c remora with cobalt 1200 running on my fluval 13.5g. I hear lots of talk about the sicce syncra 1.0 and 1.5... Is the 1.0 better than the Cobalt 1200 for the aqua-c remora?

A Danner Mag 3 was once the preferred upgrade according to Remora, which is what I used many moons ago with that skimmer

The cobalt 1200 is essentially a old maxi jet.
Danner mag pumps are good too. Ehiem. Sicce pumps.
It will deff be an upgrade. Any of these brands of pumps that the gph output is the same as your 1200 cobalt.
You will see finer bubbles and more constant water supply.

Sicce 1.0 or 1.5

Cobalt is a better maxijet, very quiet for me. And the MJ pumps are back under the name NeWa, i have one coming tomorrow for my phosban reactor. Im leaning towards the sicce due to size and flow, but the preferred 1.5 might be just a bit too big to fit in the 1st chamber of my fluval 13.5. As im dealing with a max length of 3 5/8"

Yea, i know what the mfg says 4"x2.4"x3". Im wondering length of the 1.5 after the flow cover is off and shaving off un-needed plastic. Its gotta fit in a filter chamber thats 3 ⁵/⁸" long
Never shaved it, so not sure
