Upgrade ready but I'm nervous

I'll try to keep this short and to the point.

I have a 1+ yr old 20 cube that's got a dino problem.

I have my Marine X 60.2 set up and I'm planning on a refugium in the sump. Can I set up the sump with chaeto and my grow light before I do my transfer? Will it grow without the fish and bacteria?

I need to do this soon because my BTA isn't doing so great and I really don't want to lose it. It's supposed to be a clown/anemone tank. I don't want to add any fish/corals I just need to get it cleaned and moved over.

I think I want to do a rip clean so I will clean the rock and corals first into fresh clean water. I will clean the sand after I have the rocks and inhabitants set up in the new tank.

Yes. It may not grow as quickly, but as long as you have the grow light you should be fine.

Thank you for responding, I was thinking it may be a good first step towards getting over the new tank nerves lol.

Hopefully it'll help with controlling nutrients also and keep the dinos away.
