Current situation- I currently have a 30g 'all in one' mixed reef that's been running for nearly a year, along with a 10g mantis/ nem tank that's been up for nearly a month.

Both of these tanks are in my basement (where I have a sort of man cave). When it starts warming up a bit more here in WI (hopefully soon) I'll be remodeling the basement which will free up space for a 90-120g tank.

I plan on moving all of my fish/ coral into the new tank except for a pair of Wyoming white clowns that I want to stay housed in the 30g. In the new set up, I'm planning on going with live sand and dry rock.

My dilemma here is that in order to do this properly, I'll have to A) buy/ take care of another QT tank B) QT all new fish in a 10g (really small for what's going in) or C) repurpose my 30g into a QT and postpone moving my mantis.

I'm thinking about moving all fish and some of my LPS into the new tank and using my 30g DT as a quarantine... I'd start with the hardier fish I plan on getting and if (god forbid) any of them came down with ich, I could transfer all of my livestock from the 10g into the 30g and use the 10g as a treatment tank. I of course then would need to keep the 30g fallow for 76 days *knock on wood* which would restrict me from getting fish larger than a couple inches.

Thanks for reading and any suggestions/ tips/ tricks are welcome!

Here are some pics of my 2 current tanks
