Upgrade to a 75 or a 90?

Length (fish swimming room) and front-to-back dimension (rock-stacking/coral-growing room) are the two most critical measures IMO.

Height relates more to my ability to maintain the tank than anything else these days.

If you can do it, I really think the 120 is the perfect compromise on all of these points. The 90 is my least favorite size as it's too tall, but you get nothing in terms of length or width for the "price" as you would with the 120. 75 is also a nice compromise.

One exception I'll throw out is that if branchy SPS are your thing, then the extra vertical space will be worth a bit more to you than in most other cases (for growth room as well as to aid flow)....90 might be more worthy in this scenario.

IMO.

The 90 and 120 are the same height and length but the 120 has 6" extra front to back which makes for better rockscaping possibilities. The extra room is nice so you don't have to stack rock on or close to the back glass.

The 75 is only 3" shorter than the 90 or 120 and to me does not provide the same viewing pleasure, 3" doesn't seem like much but it really looks different once set up. And I'm only 5'6" and never have a problem cleaning or reaching to the bottom of my old 90 or todays 60"x23"x18" Lee Mar 100G diamond edge. Much different than the old 110 I had years ago that was 30" tall, you almost had to wear a scuba mask to reach down to the bottom!

I bought a 75g last year and wish i had the 120 now

Please disregard all posts like this. Everyone who's ever bought a tank will say this sooner or later.

;-). I kid...but seriously!

Don't we all!
In hindsight the 60"x24", 125 would have been perfect for my space but at the time I didn't have the extra $$. Sure would like those extra 6" front to back though.

I think you all are changing my mind to a 120! How big of a sump would I need for that size tan
