Im am currently in the prosess of upgrading my 20g to a 29g with alot better stand. At the moment I am painting the back with black latex paint I thought it would look better that way I'm going to get all new sand I think even tho my other sand bed is only 2 to 3 months old I'm going to use the live rock in my current tank for the new one and will purchase dry rock for the rest. And tips? Please let me know

I have good experience with reefcleaners when I bought 15# Dry rocks to add to existing Live rocks.

Put anything living(fish, crabs, snails and coral) besides the rock in a tub that you value until your levels look good. Sometimes stirring up the tank can release a lot of trapped nitrates. I did that once before to re-aquascape my tank and shot the nitrates from 0 to 40 and took me about 2 weeks to get it back down to 5ppm, acceptable but not where I was. Took about another week or so to get back down to 0 undetectable. Other then that just temp and SG match before putting your livestock into your new tank.

Agreed! Better safe than sorry.

I was not planing on string it up I was going to just transfer water from old tank into new with RO to make up the rest of the volume

I did put everything in a bucket had them in for about 5 hours while the new tank settled a little. They are currently in the tank doing fine I added some new additions to the tank a butterfly and I got my first coral, duncan lps I was told they where about the best to start with From the selection they had. I love the moment it adds even tho it only has two heads so far and a 3rd starting already I will post pics later all of the ones I have on this phone suck, it has a horrible camera. Any other good corals to get and any other hardy fish tht I can keep with the2 clowns and Butterfly?

Just be prepared for another tank upgrade soon, butterflies do best in a 75 gallon on up.

Yea Ik but he's doing good so far they eat alot and im pretty sure he has ate about all my bristle worms
