For almost two years I just used two cheap 150 watt heaters connected to a temp controller that I bought off of Amazon with my Apex serving as a Fail-Safe for my 150-gallon total volume set up.
2 weeks ago decided to upgrade to 2 BRS 600w titanium heaters.
Just checking out my Apex just now and noticed that my temperature is more consistent and the heaters work far less than what the former 150 watt heaters did.
With the two 150 watt heaters they were constantly on and off about every 5 minutes or so but as you can see in the graph with the two new 600 watt heaters they can go hours without being on but yet my temperature stays within range.
Room temperature has not changed at all, still below the tank temperature. The only thing that I have changed is the heaters themselves. Everything else, perimeters, controller and controller temperature are the same.
Is this normal?
