Hi there R2R! I got a 40 gallon IM Fusion for Christmas as an upgrade to my 20 gallon. I just finished moving everything over into the new tank to begin the acclimation process. What i would like to get help with is coral placement. Everything in here (besides the pinkish thing I forget the name of) was growing well in the old tank but all of the knowledgeable folks on this forum seem to have perfect coral layouts in their tanks.

I put all of these corals in the 20g when I was a newbie and have had pretty decent luck for the 4 or so months they were in there. I am very active on my upkeep and started dosing about a month ago. That said, I don't know the names of a few. If anyone out there knows the names of the green ones and the pink one so I can do more research on them I would really appreciate it.

The only ideas I've had so far were to put the two hard corals at the very top sticking at a good angle towards the back so they don't cast a shadow. I also have a big green star polyp that I need to bring over. I was thinking about putting that on the back wall of the rock scape and letting it take that over completely. Any thoughts?

Put your zoanthids about halfway up. Keep the top reserved for acros. Bottom of the tank for lps. Keep the green star polyps away from everything else, it can take over very quickly. Somewhere you can cut it back and give frags to your buddies.
