Well I have decided to make the move towards the LEDS... The new Radion G3 pros. My tank overall dimensions is 60"x36"x24". I planned on installing (2) of these guys with the 120 deg lens. Need some input if you feel two of these will be enough or should I add a third down the road. My tank is primary SPS. Some LPS also. Also looking for your comments on how you like your pros if you have them. My lighting has been (3) 250watt MH with the Phoenix 14000k and PC blubs (2) 96watt & (2) 65watt.
Thanks for you input!

Your going to love those leds and the programming that comes with them.
I would consider the wide angle lens that can be bought for them with the 36" width.
Be sure and run the acclimation program starting out at a low intensity, around 30% and not go higher that 70% until you see how the corals react.
I would run the acclimation program 4 weeks.
Don't do like I did the first time I put a led fixture on my tank. I ran the leds up to almost full power for about a hour to take pictures with the new fixture.
Really bleached most of my corals and some never recovered.

One very nice thing about EcoTech is they have excellent customer service. Getting use to the software may take a few attempts so don't be afraid to call them.

Thanks for the info! How far would you recommend installing these above the water? I do plan on getting the 120deg lens for them. I hoping two of these will have nice coverage over the tank. I plan on installing then lengthwise 60" about center of the tank.

I guess the average ( from what I've read) seems to be in the 8" to 10" range.
Mine are at 9" from the water to the bottom of the unit.
I have a single gen 1 on a 30" x 20" tank and I've very happy with the light spread.
I did send it in to EcoTech to upgrade it to the gen 3 unit and I did ask them to install the wide angle lens on them.
I'm just waiting for someone to be able to get them shipped. They were ready to ship last Thursday, but no one in the shipping dept. was able to get to work because of the storm.
