I am currently running three 250 watt MH double end bulbs K by Pulserite. I want to upgrade to a better bulb for more color and good growth. I was considering Phoenix K bulbs but also heard good thing about reflux K and xm K's. Any suggestion on which i should try first. Also I have electronic ballast.

thanks Steve

I jsut purchased the XM 10K but 400w wich I were told put out the most PAR for growth from Hello Lights. It's only been a week so they haven't fully burned in but they are a bit on the yellow side. COrals seem to be loving it though. Radiums 20K I hear are the bomb for the eyes.

thanks i am just going to order the phenix 14k's. if i do not like i will change brand on the next bulb change.

I apologize for the high jack,
but on the same subject. I am running two Hamilton Reefstars with 250w Hamilton 14k bulbs. I would like more blue. Do you guys know if the Phoenix 14k are give more blue then the Hamilton's & to make sure I should have no issues running those bulbs with the Hamilton ballasts should I?

on my icecap ballast, the phoenix are bluer than the hamilton. to me the hamilton looked a little more grey-ish/blue where as the phoenix are a crisp white/blue.

Yeah.. That's kinda what I am looking at. I was looking at my tank last night thinking that it looked a little grey. I just hate to buy new bulbs when these Hamilton bulbs are only like 2 weeks old, but now that I think grey. That's all I am going to see... Uhg... :/
