was thinking about upgrading the light in the bio cube and taking the lid off. What are some lights you would recommend that are not that expensive?

Mars Aqua on ebay. Cost is in the $100 range and it's a perfectly good black box led that many reefers use.

Gotcha, I just ordered a 300 dollar kessil light and trying to to spend that much haha. You get what you pay for i guess. Would you think a kessil a80 would do the job or stick with the box?

What are you planning to keep (SPS, LPS, mixed?)

i use a radion xr15 over my Biocube and it’s been very successful but not budget-minded. Kessel lights are very good too

if you take the top off, may want to get an auto top-off if you don’t have one yet. Evaporation rate went way up for me when the top came off.

I'm not sure yet, it's not my main tank so I haven't decided haha. Probably some basic stuff for now. I just want sure if the kessil a80 would reach everything in a 32 bio cube

They recommend an 18x18 spread but can go to 24x24. Sounds like it would work for your situation.

You would need a kesil a160we for that tank if you go with kessil.
