So I am Upgrading my tank from a 55 gallon to a 75 gallon not a major deal however i recently moved and because i wasn't able to bring my tank over right away some of my equipment as bin failing on me and i'm planing to up grade to new stuff.
I'm getting a 75 gallon tank in which i will drill to holes so i can hard line plum the tank instead of using my current over the top skimmer. I have bin getting problems where the siphon stops so the return pump overflows the tank. I want to stop that with drilling two holes and placing a Stealth box and siphon stopper from Custom Aquariums.
Since I haven't bin able to move my tank to my new place yet mind you its bin 3 months and i finally can do it some of my equipment has suffered. My Auto top of system is starting to fail so I plan to replace it with a Neptune Systems ATK Automatic Top Off ATO Kit
My return pump has also taken a beating so I will be replacing it with a Neptune Systems COR-20 Intelligent Return Pump, And my Powerhead/Wavemaker that i currently have is just trash so I'm getting an EcoTech Marine VorTech MP10wQD Propeller Pump w/ Wireless QuietDrive Driver.
Since I will be setting up the new 75 gallon tank in my new place before moving over fish i figured i better get new heaters so the water is ready for transfer and so I plan to get two Eheim Jager TruTemp 150 Watt Fully Submersible UL Approved Heaters.
(Disclamier) Before you ask, I plan on getting a full Neptune Apex System and all of these are compatible with them but I can afford that hole package right now. And Reason i couldn't bring my fish tank over until now is because my landlord needed to install a dedicated electric line to my breaker so that my fish tank doesn't trip it. I have that installed now.
So my question for the Reef2Reef community is how to do you guys or gals feel about the items i plan on buying and do you think two of those heaters will be enough to heat 100 gallons. I have a 25 gallon sump as well so i'm running a 100 gallon system now.
Thank you for all your advice, I trust you guys have the knowledge to lead me now the right path. The total for all of this is about $900.00 so I want to make sure this is a good choice before i purchase anything.
