I have been using ecotech gen 3 pro radions for a few years with good growth on my corals. My colors on all acros are great but I can’t help but notice the colors and growth on my local reefers corals... I mean [emoji43][emoji43][emoji43]. I am def getting sps envy!

I found the aquatic life fixture that I think would work. Anyone use these? If so, are how do you like it? Which LED fixture are you pairing with it? Did you notice a big difference after switching from your old light? Also, we’re there any negative sides to this upgrade I might not foresee?

My tank is 4x2x16’ so the 4 foot fixture would be perfect I’m thinking.

Thanks

Nick

I just recently installed the aquatic life t5 hybrid and for the money I love it!

Their past light have been low end but the hybrids may be their new success. It's not in the light but the bulbs you use that will achieve their success from use

I'm using it with XR15s. Love the fixture. Like vetteguy said it's really the bulbs you use. The concept of this fixture is what makes it so popular...the option to use so many different LEDs.

Do you thing this would work with the bigger radions?
It does. With the XR30s you can either use the included brackets to mount them lengthwise or purchase longer brackets to mount them perpendicular if you need wider coverage on the tank.

The fixture itself isn't very attractive but if you have a canopy (doesn't look like your current one will work), that wont be an issue. I found PAR results to be bit disappointing over the two bulb LET retrofit that I was using (average increase of 21% with the four bulb hybrid).

I personally love the fixture. It’s simple and low key. But let’s be honest. A light fixture should not be seen or heard. It shouldn’t distract from the aquarium. I think aquaticlife achieves that balance.

Now if it could only get those cords right !!!! Opposite side is stupid

I was looking at the 48" t5 retrofit kits to add inside the canopy to supplement my 2 a360 but to get a 4 bulb setup it's almost the price of this fixture in 48" already. No brainer on which to go with.

The only question is how is the quality of the ballasts and reflectors.
