I have a 180 gallon mixed reef tank that is 60” long 24” wide and 26” deep. I am currently running 3 Viperspectra 165’s. They have been working great but am ready to upgrade. Currently looking at the AI Hydra 32 HD’s. Do you think it is worth it and will 3 be enough?

I went from black box to kessil and the visual difference was night and day. The black boxes have way more par than a lot of the LED do though. Not sure on the hydras. Haven't used them. If they don't end up being enough you can always add more or a light strip.

I have 2 360we over my 90 gallon. Would be comparable to your situation just smaller. They do just fine. I have thought about adding in T5 or led strips.

I believe high quality lights are always a worthwhile upgrade. Have you considered any other brands?
No because my LFS has a great deal on the Hydras.

Plenty of light, I have 3 over my tank, roughly the same dimensions. I have them dialed down too, maybe half what they are capable of. Hit 75-100 par on the sand in a mostly LPS tank with a few softies hiding under overhangs etc.

I have 5 x 52hd over mine, 72 x 30 x 24. Not the best pic, lights were ramping down. Obviously still work in progress, tie up the lines finish the tank skin etc.
