Best way to go about upgrading aquarium? I have a biocube 16, with two clowns and a small clown goby with a variety of soft corals. The aquarium I’m upgrading to is a 47 gallon bow front with a 20 gallon refugium/sump. The bow front was set up 4 days ago with about 30lbs of dry rock, 40lbs of live sand and was seeded with beneficial bacteria. The biocube has about 18-20lbs of live rock that has an abundance of coralline growth. I plan on transferring everything from the biocube minus the sand and filter media. How long should I wait before transferring everything over to the 47gal?

Personally, I would move one rock over now and feed the tank. It will get a jump start on the rock. Test ammonia until it spikes and drops. Then move the rest of the rocks over and fish.
