Upgrading return pump... What do I get?

I have a 30 gallon AIO tank and I'm looking at upgrading the return pump. I have my heart set on the EcoTech Vectra S1 since I have a pair of VorTech MP10's handling wavemaking duties but I think that'll be way overkill. I'd like a controllable DC pump if at all possible and preferably a reliable brand. I have no problems with Jebao personally but I have had issues in the past with stray voltage which is why I'm upgrading ( I have a Jebao DCW-2000 now that's leaking voltage... I got a nice jolt sticking my hand in the tank) needless to say I was lucky it didn't hurt me or my tank permanently. I've also looked at the Reef Octopus Varios S-2 but I'm really not sure which way to go.

Any help choosing would be greatly appreciated.
