Upgrading Tank with Sump

Can you please help me decide what equipment to buy like return pump, wavemaker, skimmer, media reactor, lights including its specifications/ capacity?
My tank details;
72 x 20 x 22” Display Tank
42 x 16 x 18” Sump tank
With around total head of 17 to 18 ft
Prefer to utilize return pump for a couple of media reactor, ATO and auto dosing
Prefer submerged DC pump

i had a mp40 and mp10 in my 80 gallon but recently changed to gyre. complete game changer when it comes to flow in my opinion. its more like what does your budget let you afford. for example... you can get a $200 skimmer or a $1000 skimmer. they can both get the jo done but its all based off budget.

It is made of waterproofed fiber board painted with automotive. How about the return pump? What are you using?

I’m using a jebao dc pump and I have no complaint. For less than $100 I can’t complain. It’s silent and has been running for about 8 months. Even if it broke a year or 2 in. I could still replace the pump for less than it would cost to buy one of the better name brand pumps

My rock have some aiptasia on it and beginning to grow and multiply. That is why I need to cook it again. My biggest concern is how to remove the rocks and sand leaving behind from the old tank without affecting my corals and fishes. Since may new tank need time to cycle for about 2 mos. Do you have idea how to properly and timely remove those. Thank you for the reply.

Hello and Welcome aboard! That sure is a nice set up, I see you are new here but not new to reefing so you will probebly know a little more than Me. So whats your budget on equipment? Everyone have favorites so you will get a boat load of suggestions In your other tread you ask if removing sand and rock would trow off your nutrient uptake I guess that would depend on how much live stock is in the tank. How about a full tank picture? let the masters see what you are dealing with, I think a large sponge might handle it if you give it time to seed then you could trow away or keep for a later tank (QT) is what I hear. good luck and lets see your tank
