Hoping to get some more help I'm upgrading my evo 13.5 to a 50g marine tank but still being a complete noob in this amazing hobby I was hoping to get some pointers in the best way to do this

I plan on using all live rock from old tank plus new cured live rock as well as using some of the water from the evo

My Current tank stock 4 snails 1 fire shrimp and 2 clowns and 1 emerald crab don't plan to add anything else at this time

Will the new tank have to go through complete cycle again or as I'm using stuff from old tank help speed the process also some recommendations of what else would be good for the tank in the future would be appreciated any help would be welcome thanks

Hey there, Welcome to R2R!

Look at it this way: If you took everything that was in your Evo and put it into the 50 gallon, you wouldn't need to do anything to your biological filtration (i.e. cycled rocks).

If you do the above, then add some water and some (cured) live rocks, then you are increasing the capability of your biological filtration.

Thus, if you move everything over (and add the cured live rocks), and wait a month or so to ensure the environment stabilises, you can slowly start adding more livestock.
