I currently have a 37 gallon tall. But I want to upgrade my tank. Here are 2 options from my lfs. The 349 dollar tank is a 24 gallon. The 499 dollar tank is 40 gallons. I believe they are all in ones. Both come with counters. The brand is Aquatop Recife Tank Kit. Are they any good?

I personally would not use a tall tank for a reef, it would be really hard to scape. It also seems like there would be a lot of wasted space up top.

But my tank is only 13" tall.... so that shows what I'm into!

Would you say those tanks good?

I have no direct experience with the tanks you listed, but I personally wouldn't buy anything made by aquatop... Their heaters are horrible.

Since you're in the US, there should be a LOT of better options for you to choose from. Also, if you're "upgrading", think about something bigger than what you currently have... Going from a 37 to a 24 seems link a "downgrade" to me.

I would want the 40 gallon.

Ok. I guess I don't consider adding 3 gallons to be much of an upgrade, but maybe you're short on space and want a newer system/equipment?
Either way, personally I would not buy an aquatop.

A couple good options:

What brand would you recommend for a all in one?
I know the brand but didn't know they made tanks, so No direct experience with those tanks. I can say that I have been let down by aquatop products a few times in the last 2 years .

If you're considering other options,You can get an aoi drop-in for 40-breeder tank.

The Look of a Reef in that would be a big upgrade from a 37 tall imo, even if it may be less displacement when all is said and done.

For the money Pro Star is a good option that gives you a lot of tank for your buck. Innovative Marine also makes great tanks but I wouldn't buy an Aquatop and expect a high quality product.
