Upgrading tanks

Thinking about upgrading my 10 gallon mixed reef to a 20 gallon. If I were to do it, should I go bare bottom or if I wanted to stick with sand, would I just use all new sand?

I prefer the look of sand over a bare bottom so I would reuse the sand. You want all the beneficial bacteria for your new system. I would put all the sand in a bucket, stir it up with salt water and pour off all the detritus.
