Hi all,

I'm sure this has been asked a hundred times. So, we're upgrading soon to a 75 gallon mixed reef tank from our 40 gal. reef and are wondering which fishes to add.
Currently, we have:

A pair of Mandarin dragonets,
A YWG & pistol shrimp pair,
A small/medium sized Tomini tang,
3 small Kupang damsels,
A fire shrimp & cleaner shrimp,
Various snails and crabs for the CUC

We're not interested in Sixline Wrasse or Royal Gramma, had some bad experiences.
We do want to add an One Spot Foxface, but aren't really sure other than that.
Any advice and help is welcome, thanks.

A pair of clowns is a popular choice. Lots of different types, so look at those as well as the standard.’ If you are planning on sand, you could consider a sand sifting goby or yellow head jawfish. A dwarf angel is an option (they can be hit or miss on reef safe). A Toby puffer is something to consider. Hawkfish are interesting. It really depends on what you’re going for overall.

Currently sand is our substrate and we'll continue with that.
I guess our main concern is which fish species to add that will be most compatible with the Mandarins since they can be easily picked on.

Most fish ignore mandarins. I’ve never seen them picked on

When we had a Sixline Wrasse, it wouldn't stop going after our Mandarins, almost killing one of them. So the wrasse was rehoused.
