Hey Everyone,
Currently have a 55 G, but fell into a great price for a new 75 G with stand. Going to transfer all my inhabitants into the 75 G over the summer. Why the switch? When I first started my tank over a year ago I ended up getting Live Rock with Bobbit Worms. As of right now I've removed four of them, however there are at least two more that I know of still in the tank that I can't catch. I've lost shrimp and a few fish have been hurt - then died from the wounds from these worms. It's been a nightmare. If you've ever watched a Bobbit Worm video on Youtube where they have their tentacles out of the sand hunting waiting for something to come by....you can see that happening in my tank every night if you turn on a flashlight.
Wanted to start fresh with a new tank, man-made live rock, and get my fish out of there before they turn into lunch (currently over feeding the tank so the bobbit worms have something to eat at night when they're lurking). I'm also switching over to a 15 G sump instead of the canister as I heard it's better filtration and easier to maintain. It also gives me a place to hide a protein skimmer compared to the hang on the back one I've got.
With the 75 G I'll have some more room to add some fish. Any recommendations? Here is my current fish stocking list (this is a fish only system).
1 x Indigo Hamlet - by the way I rarely see the Blue Hamlet mentioned on this forum and it is a STRIKING looking fish. Big recommendation to anyone looking for a unique fish. Also is very peaceful with all my other inhabitants.
2 x Ocellaris Clowns
1 x Royal Gramma
1 x Diamond Watchman Goby
1 x Lyretail Anthias
Would love some recommendations. I was considering getting a dwarf angel. Everyone loves Wrasse's it seems but I'm not the biggest fan (not sure why).
