Upgrading to a nuvo 40 gallon.

I have a Kessil a150 that I'm using still from my 29g Biocube. But I am currently looking for either a Kessil a360 or the Maxspect 120w 16k (which I'm leaning more towards) the Kessil a150 still works but I'm just looking to get a sunrise sunset in the tank. What about you?

I have the ai prime. I like it and its definitely strong enough in my tank now. I'm going to use it for the 40 gallon. Will probably just get another one to go with it if seems to not be enough. But I'm hoping I won't have to.

Got my 15 gallon moved and new coral came into today from Rare Reef. I have heard bad things about them but I must say they have blown me away with price and quality. Great site in my opinion. 40 gallon arriving today. Going to let it cycle for 2 weeks and transfer rock , coral and fish.

I just made an upgrade from the 29g Biocube to the 40g Nuvo 2 weeks ago after about a month of planning. You can do as much planning as you want but it's still a slow process. I just 1 20g brute trash can and 5g buckets. 1 bucket had only water and LR, 1 bucket for fish, and then I separated corals out so they wouldn't sting each other in different small contain. I daisy chain an air pump going for the containers with fish and coral in them. You shouldn't have a problem using your old sand plus new sand since your old sand is only a small footprint compared to all the new sand u will need. From 14g to 40g will obviously be mostly new sand so be prepared for a diatoms algae bloom within a week. I did not get my fish and coral in the new tank until the next evening because I didn't want there to be cloudy water when I re introduced everything. They tank is awesome, you'll love it! You will absolutely need an ATO though unless you don't mind added RODI water pretty much everyday, it's veryyy sensitive before micro bubbles start coming out of the return. Best of Luck!

Im basically doing the same thing you did, going from my current 29g biocube to a new 40g Nuvo. I hear great things about the NUVO any tips on additional things for the sump etc? Cant wait!

I have just the upgraded filters in the pics. And tunze skimmer. I run chempure with no sump. It is a great tank. I'm going to be upgrading to a 125g soon. Keeping my 40 as a nem and clown tank.
