I currently have a 75-gallon "reef" tank that has been up for 6 months now. I just purchased a new ProStar 200. I'm wondering if I can buy all new dry rock and sand, and just transfer over my marine pure cubes which have been established to avoid having to cycle the tank all over again. The 75 currently has a couple of LPS and Soft corals. As for fish, I have a yellow tang, 2 clowns, 1 Bangaii Cardinal and a lawnmower blenny. By no means is it a full-fledged reef tank. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Seeding the new tank with the bio cubes will work and probably not result in ammonia or nitrites. Keep an eye out though, and feed the tank a bit less for a week or two.

I wen't from a 15 cube to a Reefer 250. I transferred all of my bio-media and rocks over (plus some new dry rock), then moved livestock over. Just dont add anymore fish or bioload or you're going to get a ammonia spike (give it a few months). The bacteria you have is not used to such a large tank. Personally I would have added more biomedia a few months before I got the new tank to get some extra ready but you can do without.
