Well I have decided to make the move towards the LEDS... The new Radion G3 pros. My tank overall dimensions is 60"x36"x24". I planned on installing (2) of these guys with the 120 deg lens. Need some input if you feel two of these will be enough or should I add a third down the road. My tank is primary SPS. Some LPS also. Also looking for your comments on how you like your pros if you have them. My lighting has been (3) 250watt MH with the Phoenix 14000k and PC blubs (2) 96watt & (2) 65watt.
Thanks for you input!

How high are you installing them. I have to say though I think you will need three to get the most even spread.

One tip I can offer is slow acclimation to the light! LPS IME like to be on the bottom and sometimes shaded a little depending.

I was going to install them at 12" above the water. I talked to EcoTech yesterday and the said with these new G3 and the 120deg lens the coverage would be great. I can always add another light to my system. So for the time I will just do the two lights and see how it looks.

I think 2 will be plenty using the 120 lenses,I use one gen3pro over my 36x24x18 with stock lenses about 9 inches above the water and the coverage is awesome! No shadows at all

Yes I agree. I use to run 2 radions gen1 above my 40b because I thought the sides seemed too dark with one fixture.

Just upgraded to one fixture to a radion gen3 pro with wide angle lens and it's perfect. The wide angle lens blends the colors and widens the coverage. And its plenty strong enough to evenly light the entire length of the tank.

Unless you have a deep tank, and cant use the lens, i'd stick with 2.

This is good news to hear this from other guys that have them already installed. How do you guys like the lights? Are u running them thru a Apex, Reeflink? I have a apex on my tank.
