Upgrading to new aquarium

So here is the question I have I bought a 40 gallon breeder and have a mix of corals , what is the best led lights should I go with?? Here is a photo of my current tank with a kessil a80, should I go with 2-a160 kessils or so primes ? Was looking at eco tech g4 pro also but want to keep the price range reasonable any input would help thx

Looks great! If going with puck style LED's I would recommend a minimum of 2 A160's. That being said, for similar money I would look at reef breeders or other strip/box style LED's.

Personally, I target between 8000-10,000 lumens (I have a LUX meter not a PAR meter) at the BOTTOM of the tank.

Whatever lighting you choose, it should be powerful enough to cover the entire footprint of the tank at that intensity.

Look into the Maxspect R5X R5-150. I have one over my 40 breeder growing SPS with ease.

FWIW, I love my Radions. More expensive, yes. But absolutely worth it. In my mind, you may pay a little more but you get the best.... at the risk of starting a lighting argument, I’ll say I think they’re the best!

Ok well took the plunge and got the ecotech xr30g4 non pro with wide angle lens kit for my 40 gallon I was told this would do all I need for all my corals
