Upgrading to new tank questions!

Hi everyone! My husband finally agreed to let me upgrade my tank to a brand new Red Sea Reefer XXL 750. One one hand I am excited....on the other hand freaking out! Please ease my fears! The new tank will be in the same room but in a different area. Here goes:

1. I don't want to have a cycle, will be using 100lbs of my current live rock, new sand, and buying another 100lbs of new cured live rock.

2. I have spent years getting my fish and corals that I wanted. Some were hard to find. Tank is how I like it. Everything is thriving. But I need more room.

3. My biggest worry is loosing my fish or nems I have had for years. I worry about this the most.

Please help set my mind at ease....any tips or stories of your tank upgrades will be appreciated! My current tank is a 4 ft 80 gallon. Thanks in advance! Pic of current tank taken today.....

Many people, including myself have doubled up in size w/out issues, as long as you are transferring enough established LR it should go pretty smooth.
I would use new dry sand, seeded w/ a scoop of your old.
I would be diligent on WC's

Some of your wrasses may be on the sensitive side, you may want to qt them for a bit to keep free of stress and eating for a bit, maybe.

I have transferred and swapped tanks many times including sensitive anemone's over the years, w/ enough established rock they should be fine, but again just stay on WC's and keep a good eye on params.

Good luck, maybe post a build thread so people may assist w/ advice along the way.

Hardest part I see is I know some of those wrasses are going to bury in sand.
I would probably have a few brute cans for holding containers of water and rock/corals, some for fish, just get what you can in there w/ a PH and heater and let them chill out in there for a bit while you dig around in sand carefully.

I recently did a tank swap,I did use new live sand and rock from existing tank only loss was 2 shrimp but not sure why. Could of been small cycle
Corals an fish all did good

Thanks! Yea great idea about brute cans! I am so nervous about loosing any of fish, I have had them so long, and some are hard to find fish. I would be devastated if I lost them! Even my blue carpet nem, I had him for a long time too. I was thinking of having my LFS who I do trust as far as LFS go to set the tank up for me and help move the livestock.

Match all chemistry in your new tank to your old tank; ca, alk, mg, sg of course, ph, and temp. I'd even use as much of my old water, I don't know about all your corals and not that much about nems; but I've had more sensitive corals and clams even act adversely to drastic changes in nitrate and phosphate.

And I did transfer 3 nem's also all three made it through with no affects
Only moved around then found where they wanted to be and doing good

It's a great looking tank, I feel your trepidation. I think I see a clam so be mindful of any changes is chemistry, you may need to take extra precautions acclimating him, like I said previously, even extreme changes in nitrates and phosphates. Is that also a goni, I'd take care with him also.
