Hello,

I have a 24 Dx36 Lx20 H tank

I currently run one xr15 g5 in the middle with one xr15 gen 3 on the left and right. They all have a diffuser

I wont be able to get a PAR meter for about one week, but I’m trying to decide if I should put my single xr15 gen 6 before I get the par meter.

My currents settings at AB+ 50% and I was going to run the gen 6 with the same settings until I can make sure it’s correct. I have a mixed tank with softies/zoa on the bottom and a perimeter of the tank. LPS a bit higher and closer and the sps is highest and central. Im getting around 200/250 par at the highest points in my rocks, 150-200 most other places and 75-150 at the perimeters.

Any suggestions or input would be appreciated!

Well I think you should know your par levels when setting up lights but I’m not sure par wise there is much difference between g5 and g6 . Are you aware that you can buy the upgrade module to turn a g5 into a g6 for less cost ???

Yes, I’m aware of the upgrade module. That may be worth buying if I want to use two lights. I’m more wondering if the spread is now enough to justify one light instead of 3. It’ll look less cluttered with only one light.
