So I was in my LFS looking at bigger tanks (dreaming) and I had been looking at 75g. The store wanted $190 for the tank (drilled) and $300 for the stand. Obviously I thought that was a little much for the stand so I left. While on the phone with a buddy five minutes later he informed me of a LFS up by him that had a 75g stand for like $75. I called the store to see if they had it and they did and offered it to me for $50. After looking at it, I offered $40 and the took it. I came home with the stand and the wife said I could get the 75g tank. So I get to upgrade from my 55g. Not a big change, but a decent enough one. My current setup isn't drilled and my sump can not fit under the stand. So I am posting this asking if anyone has any advice when it comes to upgrading? Things they wish they did or didn't do. If not that's cool, still thought I would share this bargain I got today :)

Im not finished with it yet and I'm also waiting on the tank to arrive. My tank lights will kick on around 4 so I will upload some pics of it then.

Well today is the day. I will tear down my 55g and start the 75g. I will post pictures along the way, but here at some pictures of the stand before and after. The after shot also has the new tank :)

Sweet tank bro. I got acrylic 75 gal just few days ago on Friday night. I wanted glass but I'm scared someone breaking it by accident then what. My boys are older n I've caught him roughhousing when wife n I not home so you know what I mean????

Here In sac, ca there's a aquarium depot who sell thick glass 110+ starting at around 250 and up so I want one but just to heavy to carry upstairs as I live in home apartment.

I understand the fear. I don't have any kids my self, but I have two cats. Until today I have had my sump sitting to the Sid of the tank on the floor. It wouldn't fit under the tank. So I kinda understand. Haha

So I I got acrylic. Weights less n easy to carry n we'll won't brake that easy lol

But guy this is a sweat sweet sweat tank if you will.... I'd love to have one maybe when I buy my home I'll convert to a 110 glass lol

Post pics during process of setup when you get it going that will be nice to see

Hope she enjoys it too my wife slowly but surely is enjoying it too .., also with spending money lol

Like promised here are the final product pictures. First picture is my 55g before I started to tear it down.
