For the following situation I wonder if a voltage regulator or a UPS prevent the problem? While I was traveling, I received a temperature warning from APEX. It was strange because all three Apex EB832 power strips were showing problems, and all modules were showing as disconnected. After speaking with my children, I found out there were a series of power flickers at the house that night. I couldn’t get to the bottom of the problem that night. But I did get heaters unplugged and was able to monitor the temperature. I also had my kids check the tank temperature to verify that Apex was sending the correct temperature. When I came home, the first thing I noticed was that one of the power strips had flickering lights and a faint clicking sound. That sound the EB832 outlets make when switching. All three EB832 power strips were actively supplying power but unresponsive in APEX. None of the power strips had the circuit breaker (white pop out switch) popped. I had to unplug and plug the power stripwith the flickering lights to get it back to normal processing. And that re-connected all the Apex modules. Everything was fine. I have a whole house surge protector. I know a UPS would help prevent this situation. Would a voltage regulator also work to protect the equipment during a power flicker?
Thanks.

I have both my Apexes on UPSes, seems to make a huge difference in overall system stability.

I agree. I had issues with my apex brain readdressing energy bars if it lost power. Now it’s on a UPS that keeps it powered up while the generator kicks in.

Yes, I believe those are called brown outs? I had to get a voltage regulator and it helped. It was a heavy big meaty box.
