UPS shipping delay DFW airport

Welcome to the new world of shipping! Best part is, these companies have suspended any guarantee of overnight, yet you can still pay for it!
I had a shipment come from CT, and I live in NY. Literally a 6 hour drive one way(I've visited the person I bought corals from so I know exactly how long the drive is). It took a package that was payed for overnight, arrive 3 days later.

I had an order last week that showed up at my door at 10pm. Luckily everything made it. Not buying online again until shipping gets better. Probably going to get worse with the holidays coming up. As a business owner myself I feel bad for the online retailers in our hobby. They can only absorb so much loss. They will end up putting the DOA'S back on the customer with a ship at your own risk policy. That's not good for anybody.

Mechanical delay now means not enough ppl clocked in for their shift.
Pallets of crap laying around and hardly anyone to drive forklifts.
I imagine 1/3rd of the workforce will refuse the mandatory vaccine and just go home and collect unemployment while they work a cash-under-the-table job.

You would think unless that was the goal that unemployemwnt checks will get mandated by the same requirements soon enough

You know one of the requirements to recieve unemployment is ready, willing, and able to work(you know you actually had to actively look for a job. Not so much since covid). If your afraid to go to work because of covid, your not ready willing, and able to work, therefore unemployment shouldn't even be a consideration.

I had a UPS shipment delayed 7 hours last Thursday. Clicking around in the UPS site where you track the package, I clicked my shipping method and it brings up a window explaining what it is (next day air) and it did say they were guaranteed to arrive 10:30.
