Hey folks, I have had the condy for about 3mo, didn't so my research and kinda waiting for it to die (yes I feed and keep up on husbandry) yesterday and today is the first time he's really moved (basically been moving around the same rock for 3mo) now he's on the exact opposite side of the 75g tank. He's been in and out of caves and currently upside down in the corner. Is he just finding a better place? Dying? Not sure what, if any steps I should take? Gonna add some prime a precaution. Params
Salinity 1.025
Temp 78-79
Nitrate 75
Phos .75
Mag 1275
Cal 475
Alk 12.9
Salifert kits
Tia. 20220813_125037.jpg also, spots are on the glass, not the anemone. 20220813_125053.jpg

Looks like its trying to escape your violent maroon lol.

Possible to quarantine the maroon in breeder box until the nem settles?
They both were added at the same time a bit over 3mo ago, could this still be the case? That clown RARELY leaves the anemone, only to come attack my hand and other fish that try to eat at the veggie clip haha

It’s just moving. If you’re waiting for it to die….I’ve got bad news for you…..they can live for decades.
Haha well they may move to another tank then. I read that it likely wouldn't live longer than 6-9mo in an aquarium. I'm sure all situations are different, but yes, I figured I was giving it the best life I could while it lived it's year out

Yes as the maroon is likely a very agressive guest.

I dont believe condys naturally host anything but i could be wrong.

Condylactis gigantea will host Periclimenes pedersoni (Pederson's cleaner shrimp) and probably a few other crustaceans, but there are no clownfish that inhabit the Atlantic Ocean, so there is a chance Condylactis gigantea will consume clownfish it hosts.

Sorry i meant a long the lines of clownfish.

Thanks for this though.
Small anemone shrimp are much less aggressive than a maroon clownfish so this makes sense why the nem might be trying to get away from it lol.

Update, I did move the clown from the 75 to her own tank with 5 other anemones, but sadly, for the condy, it was too late. It ended up dying and melting in to a pile of yuck a few days later, siphoned it out, no ill effects.

Wow... I was just going to mention that aside from being upside down, it looks relatively healthy. Sorry for your loss.

It was healthy and happy for a few months, the clown was just too darn aggressive and being new, I really had no idea what to watch for.. honestly, I figured if it was mad it'd just eat the clown.
