finishing up my plumbing and was wondering if its OK to hang a gate valve from the bottom of the underside of the stand upside down so you can adjust it.
plumbing is going to my UV outside of stand coming on a manifold.

I dont want a leak so I though I would check before continuing.

Like this. Anyone see a problem?

I imagine it would be more susceptible to leaking that way. Water constantly pushing against the adjustable valve portion.

Why don't you put it where that vertical piece is? to the right in the picture

that is what I was wondering/thinking as well.
the UV is on the (pic) left side and need to run the PVC to it. either way I will have to have a few 90s just looks cleaner on the ceiling of the stand.

The only reason its not recommended upside down is due to corrosion and crap settling in the bonnet and not allowing the gate to open and close as needed, i.e. valve failure.

I would put it orientated horizontally and not lose sleep. Possible towards the left so its facing you.
