Does upsizing the standpipe relative to the bulkhead change flow capacity? For example 1.5” bulkheads with 2” standpipes?

What do you mean by standpipe? If you're talking about a durso style standpipe, I don't think I've ever seen anything over 1 inch.

1 1/2 or 2 inches of standpipe means a tremendous amount of flow. What size tank? and what size return pump?

Just mean drain pipe in general? Specifically weighing between herbie style or Bean Animal. Tank already drilled for herbie. 1” thick acrylic so not super stoked to drill third hole. 800 gallon tank and reeflo tigershark return.

A 1.5” pipe will give you a ton of flow alone. Besides I think working with 2 inch pipe might be a little difficult.
I have 1 inch bulk heads and have the pipes going into and out of the bulkhead at 1.5”. I’m running the bean animal overflow.
