Hey All, (not new to forum, just thought people would see this here )

I'm way up north in Dannemora, NY (famous prison break). No LFS local, closest is Pet Advantage in Burlington, VT. Not really worth the drive. Anyone else in NY? Looking for possible shops within a couple hour drive or other reefers. Not much happening in the NY Club forums.

Wow. Doesn't get much more upstate than that. And to think I considered myself 'upstate' in Saratoga when I lived there. You make me appreciate even more, my LFS that is just 30 from home and 10 from work.

Wow. Doesn't get much more upstate than that. And to think I considered myself 'upstate' in Saratoga when I lived there. You make me appreciate even more, my LFS that is just 30 from home and 10 from work.

It's funny to hear people say upstate and refer to Buffalo or places that are really not up here. I've got 20min to Canada.

You sure have. Just checked your join date, and you have a few years on me haha. I've been frustrated driving a little over an hour to a LFS, but now I'm glad it isn't further. Getting something shipped to your house is probably a nightmare this time of year with the temperature.

Yeah it will soon be a nightmare/impossible when the temperature hits -30F... hoping to find something within a couple hours that is worth the drive once a month. I'll be safe to buy frozen food online soon though lol

I'm from Buffalo, We are all considered upstate even though we are on the other side of the state. Upstate is anywhere in the state that is north the New York metropolitan area (NY city).

True, except to the people that are really upstate... we don't consider everyone "upstate" until you get to Essex county. Buffalo is Western NY to us.

There's NY city and Upstate NY. We're all upstate. Upstate just means your not in NY city. Your REALLY considered Adirondack/Northern NY by WNY'ers and the world.

It's not my opinion. Your're just misinformed. There are 4 sections of Upstate NY: West, Central, East and North. Saying your from Upstate NY just means you don't live in NY city. When in NY I say I'm from Western NY. When in any other state I say i'm from Upstate NY. If i say I'm from NY people think I live in NY city. Google is your friend brother. Geography class is over.

If you ever make it to Rochester/Syracuse , they both have a couple nice LFS's. Buffalo not so much.

You can live by Wikipedia that's fine, I don't need Google to know where I live.

Back to the main point of my post, LFS, Rochester/Syracuse are too far. Thanks though.

From saratoga county myself not much good lfs around anywhere....but ive never heard of any farther north...
