Here’s how a rock urchin cleans up about a 1” circular “bubble” of coralline on my front glass. I watched him eat that shadow blob of coralline in the top picture, then he moved down to that larger, lower blob.
Then about a half an hour later, the blob was 3/4 gone.
And then finally, the whole blob was gone. Just an outline of where it used to be.
Took about 45 minutes to an hour total to eat it.
I just thought it was cool to watch....
