Urchin ID?

anyone know what kind of urchin this is? It looks similar to a black long spine urchin, but it’s spines are a bit shorter and it doesn’t have an orange eye spot.

I'm not an urchin expert, but it may be as it sounds, a shortspine urchin!

I agree, it looks like all the shortspines I've seen, although I'm pretty inexperienced on this subject.

Lol that was easy. I thought short spines had really short close together spines. The spines on this one are about an inch or so long and more spread out.

Diadema savignyi is what it is.

I have the one without lines, but with dots and the red spot, which is Diadema setosum. The one with lines is cool looking
