Urchin ID

So my buddy sent me this , this morning looking for an ID and not having much luck anyone have an idea what kind of urchin this is

Anyway, I googled “urchin with striped spines”. Lots of good pics but hard to compare to your pic. Maybe a pic w whites on can help.

Species in the Parasalenia genus. Species ID is tricky with these as the taxonomy of this genus is not super well understood
