Urchin "teeth" are kinda terrifying

I've kept urchins on and off for years for algae control. I never knew they had teeth like this...

Neither have I until now! Interesting.
 
I wouldn't put my finger in their beaks that's for sure. Mine do the same thing in my 29g. It only has a hob skimmer, nothing for the surface. So they'll flip themselves and eat the film.

Works for me :D
 
They do do a number on algae !!! Ha!!! I just realized I said dodo on this site oops!! :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
 
Those don’t appear to be algae eating teeth, which is odd. Dunno
